Work Update Policy

Purpose


To ensure transparency, accountability, and efficient tracking of project progress through

proper task management and communication.


Task Management Guidelines


1. All tasks must be created and updated in the designated Project Management Tool

relevant to your project (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, etc.).


2. Each task should include:

a) Task Name – Clear and specific

b) Description – Brief summary of the objective and scope

c) Subtasks – Defined breakdown of actionable items

d) Relevant Documents – Attach any related files, references, or links

e) Due Date – Realistic deadline for completion


Review & Updates

1. Tasks should be reviewed by the  Project Manager (PM)  upon creation.

2. Feedback or corrections from the PM must be  promptly incorporated .

3. Tasks should be  updated regularly , especially before the daily scrum call.

4. Formal communication  (via email or tool notification) is required when a task is:

a) Created

b) Updated

c) Completed


Scrum Call Coordination


1. Ensure that your tasks are updated  prior to the daily scrum call  to reflect the

latest status.

2. Be prepared to present the current state of each task during your update.


Compliance & Performance Impact


1. Adherence to this policy will be tracked as part of your  monthly performance

review .

2. Proper task documentation, timely updates, and responsiveness to feedback

directly influence your performance rating and  future hiring prospects  within the

organization.

This policy is effective immediately. Consistent, detailed, and timely task updates are

essential for smooth project execution and team collaboration
