Attendance Policy

Purpose


This policy outlines attendance expectations to ensure consistency, accountability, and discipline during the internship period.


Working Hours


  • Standard Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

  • Break Time: A 1-hour break is allowed, typically between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM.

  • Total Working Hours: 8 hours per day (excluding the break)

Attendance Expectations


  • Interns are expected to log in by 10:00 AM sharp and be available throughout the day unless prior approval is granted.

  • Late login (after 10:10 AM) without a valid reason will be recorded as half-day if it happens more than twice in a week.

  • Absence without prior intimation and approval will be considered unauthorized and will negatively affect performance records.


Leave & Absence Protocol


  • Planned Leave: Must be requested via email at least 1 week in advance and approved by the Project Manager.

  • Emergency Leave: Can be requested 1 day in advance for valid reasons.

  • All leaves must be formally recorded and approved to avoid negative scoring.


Remote Work or Early Exit


  • Remote work or early logouts must be pre-approved by the Project Manager

  • with a valid reason.

  • Frequent requests for remote work or early exits will be reviewed during

  • monthly evaluations.


Compliance & Performance Impact


  • Adherence to attendance policy directly affects monthly performance evaluations.

  • Irregular attendance, frequent tardiness, or unapproved absences may:

  • Lower your performance score

  • Affect your eligibility for final hiring consideration

  • Lead to a formal warning or discontinuation in severe cases


Monitoring


  • Daily login/logout times and scrum attendance will be tracked.

  • Project Managers will report attendance inconsistencies weekly.
